We have had the BEST experience EVER with Tayshen Automotive! We have had our car and truck in for repairs/maintenance a couple of times in the past year and a half. Both times Tayshen's has been excellent in their work and service. They are friendly, reliable, less expensive than other automotive places we have been to for quotes.

I would like to add a story that will hopefully help others when having repairs done.

Another main automotive place here in Delta did some work for us regarding a starter a couple of years ago. They would not stand behind their work for what we paid $357. Tayshen's not only did the repair, but also gave us the warranty that the original place would not stand behind. Tayshen's went way beyond what they had to do! We are always satisfied with them.

When my alternator went out on my pickup coming back from Ridgeway with my 5th wheel trailer Triple A towed me to their recommended garage which is Tayshen Automotive in that area. I was back on the road in a couple of hours. They were friendly, helpful and reasonably priced. I was very pleased that what is usually a very unpleasant break down was actually not at all unpleasant thanks to Tayshen Automotive and their staff.

The people @ Tayshen are wonderful, the whole team is very knowledgeable and honest, their integrity and professionalism are really what sets them apart from any other shop I have been to. Not once have I had to question a diagnosis or quote they gave me. I recommend them to anyone on the western slope that is in need of a reliable automotive repair team. The company is very involved with the community and even does canned food drive's to support local charities.

The technical explinations that Jamie and her daughter were able to give me, regarding my brake repair went above and beyond my expectations. Service was great as well as the results. 10/10 would recommend to a family member. Also there should be a Jamies list for local Delta area necessities. She rocks at recommendations.

I was taking my cars to a shop in Cedaredge, which did great work they were just super slow. I had both my vehicles out of commission and it took them two months to get one of them back. I decided to take my truck to Tayshen the last time it broke down and they had it back in under a week. They were also very clear on what needed to be done, and were fun to work with. As an IT person living in a non-computer friendly community, I also really love how Tayshen uses technology to provide their services. Outstanding! I'm going to take my cars to them from now on.

We bought a 2000 4 Runner...discovered a torn CV boot...they were honest about the price difference in replacing just the boot vs the axle assembly..it cost half as much to do the entire thing instead of just the boot...they got the part in on a thursday...we dropped it of at 7 am on monday and had it back in tip top shape by 11!! Very friendly, honest pricing...highly reccomend!!

My wife and I are from Missouri , traveling in our Suburban and Airstream. The right front brake locked up coming over the mountains. We made it to Delta. I knew I needed to get the truck fixed but had no idea where to take it. I searched online, found Tayshen Automotive website, read the reviews and went to their shop. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the customer lounge and the shop itself. Robert (the owner) listened to my list of symptoms, took the vehicle on a test drive and gave me his recommendations. He replaced the fixed the brake problem at a reasonable price. What stuck me was he got right on our vehicle, his wife gave me a ride back to the campground. Jayme told me that when vacationers come in for repairs, it is already stressful enough to have an auto problem. They try to fit the vacationer's vehicle in for repairs quickly. I appreciate that. It was stressful but all the staff were professional, courteous and reflected well on the Colorado hospitality. They made what could've been an awful horrible experience into what was the best experience it could be. If you ever have the misfortune of needing auto repair in Delta this is the place to go. The staff is professional and friendly. They will also do everything in there power to fix your car for the best price and quality. This is the only place I will ever take my vehicles.

While on my home from weekly trip to the V.A. in Grand Junction my car's battery light came on and a short time later my car told me it couldn't go any farther leaving me on the side of the road. Not knowing what to do I called my mechanic, John at C-Kars in Gunnison to ask if he had any ideas which he did. Being a certified Napa Automotive repair shop, he gave me a ph. number for Napa warranty claims and from there things started to happen. I was given a ph. number for a shop in Delta, Tayshen Automotive and was soon speaking with Jamie, who along with her husband John own and operate their wonderful and very helpful shop. Jamie took control of the situation and within 45 minutes I was at their shop with my car on the tow truck-Ol' Red"s Towing- and as soon as it was off the truck one of their mechanics-Juan- was quickly finding the problem which turned out to be the alternator. Now what happened next I was not expecting, Jamie let me know that the part was in Delta and if I agreed they would start repairs now. Knowing it took 4 hours plus to replace last time and it was already 3:00 pm. I told her to go ahead and I would stay overnight and pick it up in the morning. Jamie told me it might not be that long and she would have Juan start now. 2 hours and 30 minutes later my car was ready! WOW!! They went way above what I expected and I must say their shop is one of the best I have ever used and would strongly recommend them to anyone who needs work done on their car or truck. Thanks again to John, Jamie and their outstanding mechanics!!!

I hate taking my car to the mechanic. I would rather get a physical checkup than be with out my vehicle, knowing it's in the hands of a greasy-fingered flunkey, only to face some ungodly charge at the end of the Great Delay. As of yet, there's no insurance company that offers 80/20 co-pay for this kind of thing.

Fortunately, Tayshen's there to help relieve some of the pain associated with car repair and maintenance. While I will never enjoy shelling out hard-earned cash for replacing brakes or a serpentine belt, getting oil changes or anything else for that matter, they really do handle their customers with professional care and swiftness.

I have been taking my two imports to them for over two years now, and have never had even the smallest issue with them. I have found they shoot straight, and their quotes are always fairly competitive with other local shops. They're careful too, so I don't find motor greasy-gunk with my hands on the shift knob or steering wheel, which inevitably gets transferred to my khakis before I start backing out of the parking lot.

Finally, a local, trust-worthy, competent, careful mechanic who won't find false issues with your precious set of wheels or try to sneak in a unexpected charge.
